Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a disease of the immune system that can range from mild to severe.

With normal skin, your body takes about 28 to 30 days to produce new skin cells and shed old ones. But when your body has psoriasis, your immune system is overactive, trigging skin inflammation and causing skin cells to produce new cells in 3 to 4 days. The body can’t shed the new skin cells at that rate so while new skin cells are produced, they are pushing old skin cells to the surface that pile on top of each other forming thick, red, flaky patches. These patches appear typically on the elbows, knees, scalp and lower back. Sometimes parts of the trunk and legs.

The cause for psoriasis is unknown. It appears to be genetic link with 1 out of 3 people with psoriasis reported to having a relative with the disease.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for psoriasis, however it is treatable! To help manage psoriasis and to stop the itch, Pure Jali’s Psoriasis cream and shampoo can help manage Psoriasis.
